Oakmint is a brand operated by Chief LLC. In these Terms, "Oakmint", "we" and "us" mean Chief LLC doing business as Oakmint.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") cover your use of oakmint.co, our forms, and the calls, emails, and text messages Oakmint ("Oakmint", "we", "us") sends in response to your request. By using the site, submitting a form, or opting in to our messages, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Oakmint does

Oakmint helps established businesses find out whether their operational records can be licensed, and connects them with buyers. Submitting a form or speaking with us does not create an agreement to license anything. No records move, and no payment is owed by anyone, unless and until you sign a separate written agreement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the business you describe in order to use the site, submit a form, or opt in to text messages. We do not knowingly provide services to anyone under 18.

3. SMS terms

Program name and sender. The program is called Oakmint Data Check updates. Messages are sent by Oakmint (Chief LLC), hello@oakmint.co. Message types: transactional text messages and alerts about your Data Check and call scheduling. No promotional messages. Oakmint also operates the Facebook page "The Owner's Desk"; the lead form on that page sends your information to Oakmint, and its text message box belongs to this same program.

What we send. Messages to business owners who checked the text message consent box on our sign-up page at www.oakmint.co/text-updates, on our Data Check form at www.oakmint.co/data-check, or on the lead form of our Facebook page: a confirmation that we received your Data Check, the next step, a link back to your Data Check if something needs editing, review call scheduling and reminders, and answers to your questions. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Consent. You consent by checking the text message box on our sign-up page (www.oakmint.co/text-updates), on the Data Check form, or on our Facebook lead form. The box is always unchecked by default; on the Data Check form and the Facebook form it is optional, and on the sign-up page the form does nothing unless you check it. On our website the box reads: "By checking this box, you agree to receive transactional text messages and alerts from Oakmint (Chief LLC) about your Data Check and call scheduling. No promotional messages. Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Message frequency. Message frequency may vary depending on your request and usually means a few messages in total.

Message & data rates. Message & data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

How to opt out. Text STOP to cancel at any time. After you text STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

Help and support. Text HELP for help at any time, or contact us at hello@oakmint.co.

Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.

Supported carriers. Messages are supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Availability may vary.

Privacy. Phone numbers and text messaging opt-in data are used only to contact you about your request and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Full details, including how we collect, use, and protect your information, are in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your information and your answers

You agree that the information you give us about your business is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you are authorized to share it. You may correct or withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@oakmint.co.

5. Use of the site

You may use the site for its intended purpose. Do not scrape it, interfere with it, attempt to access non-public areas, or submit information about a business you are not authorized to represent.

6. No guarantees and limitation of liability

The site and our forms are provided as is. Any estimate of value, interest, or timing we share before a written agreement is an estimate, not a promise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oakmint is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or our messages.

7. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
